Two men have been injured in a crash that has shut down a lane on Kwinana Freeway and triggered a major emergency response.
Their cars collided near Roe Highway just after 5am Tuesday travelling towards the city, with commuters reporting “plenty of lights and sirens” at the scene.
Two St John Ambulance crews responded, taking one man in his 50s with shoulder injuries to Royal Perth Hospital.
Another man, in his 40s, also had shoulder injuries but did not require an ambulance.
Someone on the train said the aftermath had caused peak hour chaos, saying “Kwinana Freeway northbound is fully blocked with a crash around Roe Highway”.
The left lane has been closed by Incident Response, with police and towing services at the scene.
Main Roads has urged drivers to reduce their speed on approach.
More to come.
