The Lodge Wadjemup reveals its new-build Poolhouse precinct, with 46 luxe rooms and highly-anticipated pool

Paradise is now — the eagerly awaited pool at The Lodge Wadjemup has been revealed.
Following the opening of the first series of guest rooms in January, the remainder of the accommodation in the sprawling Rottnest Island development is now complete with the unveiling of 46 new Poolhouse rooms.

Anticipation has been high for the first-look at the pool area and it does not disappoint, with a relaxed yet chic resort aesthetic that references the coastal setting.
Striped sun loungers and textural limestone frame a heated 12m adult pool, with a dedicated 5m pool especially for kids just steps away.
The precinct lies in the northern part of The Lodge Wadjemup grounds, on the edge of Garden Lake, and the luxe Poolhouse rooms offer picturesque views from every angle.

Inside, the rooms boast sweeping high ceilings, open living spaces and fresh, minimalist interior design intended to blend in with the surroundings.
Some have the added bonus of a standalone bath for those chasing an even more decadent retreat.
The 46 new-build Poolhouse rooms join the 63 refurbished Courtyard and Lake rooms to bring The Lodge Wadjemup’s total room count to 109.
Even before the opening of the Poolhouse precinct, The Lodge Wadjemup already scored a major accolade when it became the only Australian hotel on TIME’s World’s Greatest Places 2025.

The new rooms are now ready to be booked for stays from July 1 through to early next year — and general manager Jeremy Nordkamp says there’s no need to wait for the warmer months to enjoy the complex.
“Rottnest Island is synonymous with summer, but The Lodge Wadjemup has been thoughtfully designed to offer an incredible tourism experience any time of the year,” Nordkamp says.
“With inclusions such as in-room heating and the heated pool, as well as heated flooring, multiple fireplaces, bi-folds to enclose the space and a winter event series at Sunsets – The Lodge Wadjmeup is the perfect place to retreat even when the weather is cooler.”

A number of winter packages are on offer to entice holidaymakers to visit sooner rather than later, including a Midweek Moments offer, where guests can stay three nights and pay for two, and a Family Winter Escape package.
Other perks such as late check-out, a shared menu at on-site restaurant Sunsets, movie tickets and WA wine and cheese platters are ideal for couples chasing a romantic getaway.
+ Rates for Poolhouse rooms at The Lodge Wadjemup start at $435 per night including breakfast.
