A woman is being airlifted following a serious bike crash on Rottnest Island.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident after reports a woman — aged in her 60s — suffered a serious head injury after crashing her bike about 1.20pm on Thursday.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The woman will be flown to Royal Perth Hospital on the RAC Rescue Helicopter.
