Willetton crash: 80-year-old woman rushed to hospital after car crashed into tree on Karel Avenue

An 80-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital after her car ploughed into a tree in Willetton on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were alerted to the crash on Karel Avenue just before 7.50am, prompting a major response from Canning Vale and Murdoch firefighting crews.

The woman was trapped in the car upon firefighters arrival and had to be extracted.

St John WA rushed the woman to Royal Perth Hospital under lights and sirens.

WA Police also attended the scene.

The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time.
