Teenage girl who threatened classmates and teachers with scissors to be removed from Broome

The teenage girl accused of threatening classmates and teachers with scissors, forcing a local high school into lockdown, will be removed from Broome on protective bail conditions.

About 11am on June 14, an altercation broke out between two 14-year-old female students at Broome Senior High School before one of the teenagers pulled scissors out on the other.

The court was told two teachers were also threatened, however, there were no injuries during the fight.

Appearing before Broome Children’s Court on Friday, the girl, who cannot be named, was granted bail on the condition she be removed from Broome and take part in youth justice programs.

She will reappear in Derby Children’s Court on June 30.
