Two weeks of intensive leadership and self-development workshops, photo shoots and rehearsals reached its climax when 14 young Aboriginal women took to the catwalk to contest the Kimberley Girl crown, which was eventually won by Tallulah Bieundurry of Wangkatjungka.Kununurra’s Sophia Short was first runner-up and Halls Creek’s Melanie O’Neil second runner-up.Halls Creek’s Ooen-s’tae McDonald was named Most Photogenic,and One Arm Point’s Billi-Joh Angus received the the Facilitator’s Choice prize.
