The nation’s resources executives, as well as State and Federal ministers, gathered to hear speeches from one of Australia’s top businessmen and the WA Premier, Roger Cook, about the critical importance of the industry.
The event, at Crown Towers, was attended by the country’s most influential business and political leaders as part of the three-day Resources Technology Showcase.
Seven West Media chairman Kerry Stokes told the crowd that Australia’s multibillion-dollar iron ore sector was built on the “sweat, hard work, ingenuity and persistence of the people who came before us” and that history should guide a future where the industry can continue bettering the lives of new generations.
