Coming off their first win of the season last week, Waalitj Marawar (West Coast) are fought hard against Kuwarna (Adelaide) but let it slip in a 66-point loss.

The Eagles made two changes, with injured forwards Jamie Cripps (knee) and Matt Owies (calf) replaced by Noah Long and Tyrell Dewar.

But they could not replicate the efforts of last week’s breakthrough victory.

Recap all the action from our blog.

That’s a wrap

The Eagles will have to fly home to Perth licking their wounds and counting the cost of a 66-point loss to the Crows.

But they have little time to think about it with a huge home clash against Geelong to come next weekend.

Until then, farewell!

Waterman update

Jake Waterman has been sent to hospital for scans on his right shoulder after dislocating it in the fourth term.

He won’t fly home today according to coach Andrew McQualter.

Final stats

The Eagles led the inside 50 numbers in the first half but ended up being beaten 64-55 as the Crows produced 33 scoring shots.

The home side also ran away with the clearance battle in the third and fourth quarters to end the match with an advantage of 10.

Jordan Dawson was the leading ball-winner with 27 disposals to go with nine tackles and eight clearances.

He also booted two goals.

Another road trip blow out for the Eagles but it was a 13-minute period in the third quarter that blew them away.

The Crows got on a run of five goals to close the premiership quarter and it sucked all of the energy and fight from the visitors.

Duggan tried hard with 22 disposals and 659 metres gained but his impact was limited in the second half.

Graham had eight tackles for the match but the team struggled to win the ball overall.

They had their chances to take a lead into halftime but misses hurt them all day as they ended with eight goals and 14 behinds

Nice transition

Allen gets his second but it was a nice transition through the middle that earned the goal.

Reid burst through the middle with his power and for the first time today made a considered decision instead of blazing to the spare defender.

He handballed to Long in more space who dropped a perfect kick to Allen.

Injury blow!

Waterman has been one of the best for the Eagles today but he is now walking off with a dislocated shoulder.

He got sandwiched in a marking contest and the right arm is out.

His left is heavily strapped but his right has nothing on it.

One on Brock

Fogarty has snapped Brock’s run of clean sheets.

The young Eagles defender had not conceded a goal to his direct opponent once in the last three weeks.

It’s taken three and bit quarters for Fogarty to get him as well.

The Waterman!

The Eagles grab the first goal to snap a run of five goals to the home side.

They were smart with their entry, changing the angle before bombing to the pack and Waterman’s hands are iron.
