Fremantle face perhaps the biggest home and away game in their history as they take on Brisbane with finals and potential top two finish on the line in a Friday night blockbuster.

The Dockers have soared into the top four but a loss tonight could send them to a virtual elimination final next week against Western Bulldogs.

However a win will secure their first finals campaiagn and leave them with a chance for a top two finish.

Onto next week

That’s where we’ll leave the blog with all attention now turning to next week unless West Coast can pull off an almighty upset on Sunday.

Fremantle is facing a virtual elimination final away at Marvel against the Western Bulldogs.

There’ll be plenty of fallout to come from this one until then but bye for now!

Longmuir speaks

“We didn’t defend our front half well, our clearances let us down, first possession let us down, particularly in that third quarter,” he says.

“The pressure of the game, we lacked composure in those moments, and we just couldn’t execute.

“It felt like the first time we’ve been in that position with our lack of composure.”

Fyfe speaks

“It’s very strange it’s not my style to retire but I’ll be soaking in every single minute if this is it,” he says.

“It was a disappointing performance but hopefully we can bounce back.

“It’s been an absolute privilege to be supported by you to grow up in front of you.

“We‘ve got a massive game next week I like to think across my career i’ve never given up and we’ll embrace that as a footy club.”

He goes on a lap of honour in what could be the last time we see him at Optus.

Pearce gives away a front on free kick on the siren

Somes up a horror night as Pearce on the siren gives away a free for front on contact to Logan Morris.

He nails the kick to make it a 57-point thumping. They were magnifcent tonight while the Dockers an ugly feeling must be creeping in with finals hanging by a thread again

Cameron has three

Brisbane out the back numbers everywhere and Charlie Cameron runs into an open goal sqaure to boot his third in what has been a return to form for the small forward

Morris shuts the door

There’s not going to be another fourth quarter comeback tonight as Logan Morris outmarks Luke Ryan.

On the 45 from 40 he splits the middle to make it a 39-point lead.

Beecken is on for Berry.

Jarrod Berry injured

He gets a push from Andrew Brayshaw and dislocates his shoulder.

That’s nasty and could out his finals hopes in jeopardy.

Logan Morris misses a set shot and the Dockers trail by 32 points with 11 minuts to go.
