AFL: Fremantle and Richmond have been spared the brutal winds and rain that have lashed WA in recent days but the contest is still set to be intense.

This is a big game for Fremantle if they want to establish their top-four credentials.

Richmond are a struggling club and the Dockers must be ruthless and see them as a chance to boost their percentage.

But you can never underestimate teams in the AFL.

Follow all the action in our live blog.

That’s a wrap

Fremantle grab a big win in the rain and jump into third on the ladder, at least for now.

The Dockers face two road trips to Adealide in coming weeks and can push their case for the top four big time.

We’ll back tomorrow for West Coast v Port Adelaide.

Until then, goodbye!

Career high

Shai Bolton was up and about in the wet and collected a career-high 33 disposals.

He also had five tackles and four clearances to go with 573 metres gained.

The power of “soapy buckets”

Josh Treacy has explained the training method behind his big marking day.

ANALYSIS

In football parlance, it wasn’t a bag. But Jye Amiss - and Fremantle - will take it.

MATCH REPORT

The cyclone didn’t arrive, but the dam wall still broke as Fremantle ran over the top of Richmond.

FT: Fremantle 103, Richmond 43

Tigers fans can be pleased with their first half but the Dockers found their ruthlessness in the second to put them to the sword.

Had Fremantle kicked straight they could have registered a triple-figure massacre but Longmuir and the fans will be happy with the percentage boost as it stands.

Treacy and Bolton were two of the chief destroyers while Serong was devastating around the ground.

The Dockers end with more than 40 clearances and over 60 inside 50s, equalling the club record for behinds in the process with 25.

Chasing the record

Fremantle are now only one behind off their all-time record for behinds.

Voss took a good mark but cramp in his right hamstring hurt him on the kick as he put through the Dockers’ 24th behind.

Crowd

Today’s attendance is 35,245.

A good effort considering the miserable weather conditions around Perth.

The big man!

Darcy has popped up on a strong lead in the forward line and taken a good mark.

He makes no mistake on his left boot and his teammates get around the under-pressure ruckman.

He adds a major to his 24 hitouts as Fremantle crack the ton.
