AFL: West Coast have claimed back-to-back wins and broken an Adelaide Oval hoodoo in the process.

History was not on their side as they attempted to back up a stirring win over North Melbourne with their first victory in South Australia since 2021, with teams from the west having a long history of struggling to adjust to earlier away games.

Meanwhile, the Power were looking to continue their momentum from a big win over Essendon last week and handed former Fremantle on-baller Will Brodie a club debut.

And it all came down to the final minutes.

Relive all the action from our blog!

That’s a wrap

West Coast end the weekend with an outstanding victory over Port Adelaide and for the second week in a row, both WA teams are victorious.

It gets a little harder for both teams this week with Fremantle heading to Adealide to face the Crows before the Eagles play Sydney at Optus Stadium.

Until then, farewell!

McQualter news

The Eagles coach looked pretty chuffed after that win.

Read what he had to say below.

Top eight

It may only be a month into the season but the Eagles have the top eight in sight.

They have moved up to ninth on the ladder and while they’ll likely head back down, a view of what’s possible will do the team a world of good.

Yeo update

McQualter says he “doesn’t think it’s serious” for Yeo but the star had to come off at halftime.

He also confirmed he’d be sent for scans on his groin.

Now that you’ve had a chance to catch your breath.

Here’s Mitchell Woodcock’s full match report!

The moment

The Power looked to have a head of steam up in the dying moments.

But check the vice-like grip that stopped them cold!

Happy away rooms

The West Coast rooms are abuzz and the celebrations as the players went down the race were clear.

It’s a big win for the young side who are now 2-1.

Who would have thought both West Coast and North Melbourne would start the year with more wins then losses?
