Perth weather: Rain to go away by the weekend and finally bring sunshine with warm temps
It’s finally time to get the sunscreen out as Perth will be hit with a dose of warm weather next week.
But the bad news is that it won’t last long, so locals should get out and enjoy the sun while they can — with Perth set to see temperatures hit 30C.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s Caroline Crow said that the tides were turning for WA’s weather.
“We’ve got a cold front (that) moved through the Perth region today, then coming into tomorrow... still looking at having a slight chance of a shower in the morning,” she said.
“After that we’re going to start seeing the weather pattern change.”
As warm winds start to move inland, Perth will see a sunny period kickoff at the weekend.
Temperatures are set to rise every day and hit 30C by Wednesday.
“Over the next couple of days... we’ve got some warming over inland as that warmer air starts to get pushed towards the west coast,” Ms Crow said.
“That is going to dominate the weather pattern... and that’s why we’re seeing those warmer temperatures.
“We’re also moving into spring, so we’re getting into the time of year where we’re going to start seeing warming temperatures.”
Locals shouldn’t take it for granted as forecasts show that it could be back to clouds and rain come Thursday following the warm relief.
“We’re looking at mostly sunny conditions and clear skies through to the middle of next week,” Ms Crow said.
“There is a weak front later next week, which could bring a couple of showers to the Perth area.
“So we will see the temperatures drop a little bit after next Wednesday.”
