KNA 2025: Competition heats up with dual round week, with Kojonup 1 and Allstars 1 notching double wins

Katanning Netball Association had a busy week with round three held midweek and round four on Saturday at the Katanning Leisure Centre.

Juniors got to pump out their midweek round on the Tuesday in a great display of games, bringing in the spectators along for a fun afternoon.

Seniors had a chilly Wednesday night to bear for their midweek round, bringing the KLC alive.

In the first of the A1 matches, Broomehill tackled Kojonup 1 and in a mighty battle, Kojonup 1 came out with the win 69-41.

Te Taitonga 1 had to creep back to manage their win against Cardinals Force and, snuck in by two goals, 46-44.

Olympians 1 embraced a tough game against Allstars 1, with Allstars 1 rallying to smash the game out of the park, 87-23.

On Saturday, Cardinals Force defeated Broomehill with a narrow five-goal margin, the end score being 50-45.

Olympians 1 went down to a determined Kojonup 1 side 39-65 while Allstars 1 managed to net 82 goals in their win over Te Taitonga 1 who scored 30.

Wednesday’s A2 had Dumbleyung up against Kojonup 2 with a great battle on court. The scores did not reflect the game as Kojonup 2 emerged big winners 40-17.

Olympians 3 met Allstars 2, with Allstars 2 coming home with a great 70-goal return.

Te Taitonga 2 played Olympians 2 and put their foot down to win 45-32.

In Saturday’s results, Allstars 2 notched a four-goal win against Te Taitonga 2, 48-44.

Olympians 2 thrashed Dumbleyung 63-37 and Olympians 3’s score of 19 was not enough against Kojonup 2, who racked up 54 goals.

In A3 on Wednesday, Te Taitonga 3 took on Kojonup 3 and the latter ran away with the win at 52-27.

Cardinals Fever had a close game with Allstars 3 with the Cardinals creeping over the line, 35-30.

On Saturday, Cardinals Fever were too strong for Kojonup 3, 54-31 while Cardinals Phoenix only managed 13 goals and couldn’t compete with Te Taitonga 3 who hit 34.
