It was the first of many glorious sunsets to come for Bert’s, the latest addition to City Beach’s coastal restaurant line-up.
More than 300 guests gathered to mark the occasion with its new owners Mark Pearn, Nic Strachan, and Evan Hewitt in the old Odyssea site.
It was a laid-back affair — designed to reflect the kind of welcoming environment where everyone is invited, sandy feet and all — that the team want to create — with bites from the delicious new menu, which including floating around included spiced lamb and baja fish tacos alongside generously topped pizzas.
