Hilltop Hoods

Australian hip-hop royalty Hilltop Hoods head to town as part of their Never Coming Home tour in support of their new studio album, Fall From The Light. Expect to hear plenty from the new album, as well as the hits. Supported by Maverick Sabre, Trials and DJ Total Eclipse.

Neon Picnic

Saturday March 21, 11am to 5pm, Hyde Park, Perth

Soak in the atmosphere at this family-friendly event and listen to a great line-up of local live music and shows from community radio station RTRFM. The station’s shows Global Rhythm Pot, Drastic On Plastic, and Homegrown will be broadcast live from the park. There will be live music courtesy of Australian Critters, Bella Dyer, Juliana Areias & Friends — The New Brazilian Wave, Sgt Hulka and WAYJO’s Dynamic Jazz Orchestra. There are a range of activities for kids, including arts and crafts and a zine making workshop.

This Harmony Day celebration brings together food, music, dance and activities. Enjoy live performances, try workshops, take part in craft activities, and sample global cuisines from a variety of food trucks at this family-friendly event.

South West Biennial: Tracework

Saturday March 21 to July 19, Bunbury Regional Art Gallery, Bunbury

This major exhibition brings together artists from across the South West, alongside nationally and internationally recognised practitioners. While centred in Bunbury, it expands out to six partner venues throughout the region. Curated by Dr Michael Bianco and Dionne Hooyberg, the Biennial includes a major survey of works by 28 regional artists, alongside solo and collaborative projects by Jacobus Capone, Olga Cironis, Amber Cronin and Tom Borgas, Sharyn Egan, and Andy Quilty.

The Lieutenant of Inishmore

A satire of the absurdity and pointlessness of the Irish terrorist movement. Set in 1993 on the island of Inishmore, County Galway, the play centres on the fanatical leader of an Irish National Liberation Army splinter group whose devotion to violent extremism is rivalled only by his love for his cat.

Dance Nation

Set somewhere in America, Dance Nation follows a group of ultra-competitive pre-teen dancers chasing national glory. The play explores adolescence, ambition, identity and the volatile power of female friendships.

Renascence

The musical tells the story of the early life of radical Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Edna St Vincent Millay, known simply as Vincent, using the artist’s poetry as lyrics.
