Collette’s new tours to Europe bring sparkling additions to this hugely experienced company’s big continental mix.

+ Explorations 15-day Flavours of Portugal and Spain tour travels the Iberian Peninsula and includes sampling vintage wines. The Explorations line is Collette’s most sought-after collection, offering authentic connection to culture. On this tour, travellers visit the home of a bullfighter in Pamplona and learn more about this tradition. They also visit a Spanish cider house and participate in a petiscos cooking class in the Douro Valley in Portugal. There are spots from June 3, 2024, from $7049 per person, twin share, and $9149 solo.

+ The new Spotlight on Northern Italy tour spends a week in the Veneto region. It includes seven nights in Treviso, where tiramisu was invented, and travellers can participate in a tiramisu cooking class. There is also a winery tour and tasting in the Prosecco region, and a full-day tour in the Dolomite mountains. It includes a cable car ride and a visit to Cortina, which will host the 2026 Winter Olympics. There are departures from October 4, 2024, from $3449 per person, twin share, and $4149 in solo.

Karen Deveson, Collette’s Australian managing director, says that Australians are also showing increasing interest in the Spotlight tour of London and the Greece Island Hopper tour.

+ On the Spotlight on London, travellers really get some sense of living like a local. They use the Underground, visit local markets, see a show and go to afternoon tea. There’s a guided tour of the Tower of London and a trip on the River Thames. There are places from June 7, 2024, from $3399 per person, twin share, and $4249 solo.

+ The Greece Island Hopper visits Mykonos, Santorini and Athens, where it starts. In Athens, travellers visit the Temple of Zeus and the Parliament. There are three days on Mykonos. At the moment, there are savings of up to $500 when booking on select departures. Prices for the tour on May 24, 2024, are $5719 per person, twin share, and $7510 solo.
