West Coast star Harley Reid is set for a nervous Saturday, with the Match Review Officer likely to look at an elbow which floored Fremantle’s Matt Johnson.

A frustrated Reid gave away a free kick late in the third term of western derby 63 after he threw an elbow backwards which caught Johnson in the sternum.

The Docker went to ground and was awarded a free kick as a result, with the action sure to come under scrutiny by the MRO with a decision to be made late Saturday afternoon.

Should Reid’s actions be deemed intentional, with medium impact to the body he will face a one-match suspension, potentially ruling him out of next week’s bottom-three clash against Richmond at the MCG.

However, if the impact is graded as low he will only get a fine according to the AFL’s matrix.

“I think they’ll look at it the same as a stomach punch,” Fox Footy analyst Jordan Lewis said.

It comes on the back of a frustrating third term for Reid, who was clearly annoyed after he was not awarded several free kicks.

After he caught forward Sam Switkowski holding the ball, he was floored by a bump from the Docker after he kicked the ball but was not awarded a free kick.

Reid was on the other end of a similar decision in the first term.

He was also held onto by Luke Jackson in the centre circle just before that incident which was also not paid.

Reid was also caught high in a tackle but the umpire waved play on which clearly annoyed the Eagle.

It comes as the 21-year-old was instrumental in the midfield, dominating for the Eagles against a star-studded Dockers team which kicked five goals to one in the third term to break the game open.
