Dockers players and staff members have literally had a hand in putting together the club’s Pride Round jumper, with 120 hand-drawn hearts the feature of this year’s design.

Fremantle unveiled the strip they’ll wear across the two Pride Round weekends, beginning with next week’s home clash against Melbourne at Fremantle Oval.

The hearts form a rainbow across the chevrons at the front of each jumper, with players and off-field club staff helping “symbolise the deep sense of community and belonging that defines the club’s spirit”.

Having returned to the fold this year after missing all of last season as she welcomed a second child with partner Adele, star Dockers veteran Kiara Bowers said it was special to be able to play a role in stitching together the design.

“It represents our very first Pride jumper, the same sort of style - but this time we have the hearts that have been drawn by players and staff here at Freo to all be included for it to be a special jumper,” Bowers said.

“Being part of the community myself, it’s a place where my family can come down, feel included, feel recognised and is just a place where we can all feel loved and feel special,” she said.

The 3-4 Dockers will be hoping the sleek new look plays a part in setting up a fast finish to the year, with the club likely having to win its final four matches to be assured of playing finals.
