Fremantle has reportedly told rival clubs forward Jesse Hogan is on the trade table despite having a year left to run on his contract.

Other clubs confirmed on Tuesday they had been told both Hogan and out-of-favour midfielder Connor Blakely were up for grabs.

Blakely still has two years left to run on his existing deal.

Asked about Hogan’s future on Saturday, Fremantle President Dale Alcock couldn’t commit either way.

"Jesse's currently on leave and we're going to take some time to work carefully through that and work and liaise with Jesse, his management and the club," Alcock said on ABC radio.

"That's our position on that.

"We're not going to react to it [his contract] immediately. He's done his hotel quarantine, he's out of that, he's on leave.

"The football department have picked that up and our senior people will pick that up with him and his management in due course."

7NEWS’ Ryan Daniels has reported the Dockers will sit down with Hogan and his management in a fortnight to discuss his future, with the Swans having enquired about trading him.

Hogan, 25, appeared in court last week, charged $8000 for his quarantine breach upon returning from the Dockers’ second hub stint in Queensland.

The former Demon only managed seven AFL games in 2020, booting five goals.

Hogan signed a three-year deal with the club at the end of 2018 but has struggled both on and off the field since becoming a Docker.

His tenure got off to a nightmare start, being suspended before even making his Fremantle debut.

The club said Hogan made ‘poor choices’ which resulted in him missing a training session before their season opener against North Melbourne.

Hogan was then granted indefinite leave from the club to deal with clinical anxiety, before another lengthy stint on the sidelines due to a foot injury.

“Jesse made poor choices around alcohol consumption on Saturday evening prior to our training run at [Perth] Stadium on Sunday, and as a result he did not take part in training,” General Manager of Football Peter Bell said at the time.

"The club has been aware of Jesse's clinical anxiety and has wrapped the appropriate support measures around him and will continue to do so.”

Meanwhile Blakely, 24, struggled for senior opportunity under new coach Justin Longmuir in 2020, with the club prepared to entertain a trade for him.
