Mariafe Artacho del Solar and Taliqua Clancy are through to the Commonwealth Games quarter-finals following a demolition of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Australian pairing were far too dominant for their opponents, winning in straight sets over Suraya Chase and Phylecia Armstrong.

Having won their opening two fixtures - and the way other matches have fallen - Australia is already through to the knockout stage with one pool B match against Cyprus to play. That is scheduled for Thursday.

Australia were utterly dominant over Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday, winning 21-7, 21-6.

The Aussies also powered their way to victory in their first-up match against Sri Lanka, winning in two sets, 21-10, 21-12.

The quarters begin on Friday.
