VideoLuka Doncic produced some magic at the buzzer to help Dallas get out of trouble.

Bryce Cotton thought he had the monopoly on insane buzzer beaters this week - but he may have just been beaten by one of the world’s best with a similar play.

NBA superstar and MVP contender Luka Doncic produced something special to get Dallas over the line against Memphis, with the Mavericks down two with 1.8 seconds left.

Doncic squeezed in between two defenders before launching an off-balance floater for three, swishing it as time expired to spark wild celebrations.

The Croatian finished with 29 points and nine assists to cap a big night.

It came barely two days after Cotton’s similar antics for the Perth Wildcats as they got out of jail against New Zealand in Launceston.

Cotton caught the inbounds pass with 1.7 seconds left, beating two defenders before double-pumping and draining the triple to force overtime and an eventual victory.

The MVP near-certainty finished with 23 points to get Perth back on the winners’ list ahead of tomorrow night’s return home to RAC Arena to face Illawarra.
