Kiara Bowers’ hopes of winning this year’s AFLW best-and-fairest award remain alive after the Fremantle star escaped with a reprimand for a tripping offence.

Bowers tripped Brisbane’s Jessica Wuetschner in the dying stages of Fremantle’s upset 11-point loss to the Lions on Saturday.

The incident was not deemed serious enough to warrant a suspension, and she can accept a reprimand with an early guilty plea.
