Hugh Davies: Looked to be freed up as an interceptor again after spending recent weeks in more accountable roles. Claimed a pair of important intercept marks late, providing a cool head under pressure. Ollie Murphy: Spent the game opposed to the Lions’ leading goal-kicker full-forward Ryan Borchet. Surrendered some early opportunities but grew into the contest. Aiden Riddle: Took on more responsibility in attack and competed hard all day. Slotted a nice snap in the fourth term but missed a kickable set shot later on. Charlie Nicholls: Struggled for impact in attack but laid a critical tackle in the defensive 50 late.
