Koby LeCras AFL draft profile: Stats, player comparison and scouting notes

The West Australian’s draft profile series has all the information you need on the State’s leading hopefuls to be picked up by an AFL club later this month. Here, we look at dynamic West Perth forward Koby LeCras. Club: West Perth From: Cervantes JFC Date of birth: 26/4/2008 (age 18) Height: 193cm Weight: 89kg Position: Key forward/half-forward Expected draft range: Late first round/early second round 2026 averages: 7.0 disposals, 3.0 marks, 1.0 tackles (WAFL league) AFL player comparison: Jack Gunston Strengths: X-factor, kicking Question mark: Consistency Josh Kempton says: LeCras shapes as the wildcard of this year’s West Australian draft crop, particularly on account of the fact he missed much of the season due to a partially-torn ACL suffered on his WAFL league debut in April. While the nephew of West Coast legend Mark and son of West Perth champion Brent has done much of his best work close to goal, his kicking skills could lead to him being used in different areas of the ground. The 2km time trial and 20m sprint were the only tests he completed at September’s national draft combine as he continued his recovery but he is expected to be fully fit for the first day of an AFL pre-season.
