US President Donald Trump’s lewd birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein released by House Democrats

The sexually suggestive letter to Jeffrey Epstein, allegedly signed by US President Donald Trump and vehemently denied by him, has now been made public.
The letter, which was included as part of a 2003 album compiled for Epstein’s 50th birthday, depicts a curvaceous woman with an imagined conversation between Mr Trump and the convicted sex offender written inside.
The existence of the letter was first reported by the Wall Street Journal in July, leading to the US President filing a $10 billion ($15b) lawsuit against the publication.
“The Wall Street Journal printed a FAKE letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures,” Mr Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“I told Rupert Murdoch it was a Scam, that he shouldn’t print this Fake Story. But he did, and now I’m going to sue his ass off, and that of his third rate newspaper.”
The letter begins with a “voice over” stating, “There must be more to life than having everything”.
Donald: “Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.”
Jeffrey: “Nor will I, since I also know what it is.”
Donald: “We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.“
Jeffrey: “Yes, we do, come to think of it.”
Donald: “Enigmas never change, have you noticed that?“
Jeffrey: “As a matter of fact, it was clear to me last time I saw you.“
Donald: “A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
The letter signs off with Mr Trump’s signature.

While the US President has strongly disputed any claims suggesting he wrote the letter, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee confirmed they received the birthday album on Monday (local time) from Epstein’s estate as part of a batch of documents handed over.
“This note, Donald Trump has said, does not exist. Well, once again he is lying to the American public and is leading a White House cover up,” California congressman, Robert Garcia, said in a video released on X.
Mr Garcia said the Oversight Committee would be carefully reviewing the documents they received.
“We will not stop until we get justice for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and all those who were involved.”
“We do not care how powerful you are, how connected you are, how much money or wealth you have, or what political party that you are in - we will get justice for the survivors and we’ll get to the truth.”
Mr Trump has been facing mounting pressure from some of his supporters and renewed public scrutiny on the convicted sex offender’s connections to powerful figures.
Epstein, a wealthy financier, was facing federal charges of sex trafficking minors when he died by suicide in jail in 2019. He had pleaded not guilty, and the case was dismissed after his death.
