A search is underway for a motorbike rider who crashed his vehicle then fled on foot.
Police received a report just before 11pm on Thursday that a red motorbike had collided with a safety barrier on Marshall Road on the Tonkin Highway overpass in Malaga.
By the time police and paramedics arrived, the rider was nowhere to be seen.
It is understood officers conducted a search of nearby bush with no success.
Police shut down Marshall Road briefly and were seen collecting evidence before leaving the scene.
