A truck driver has been taken to hospital after crashing into a power pole and rolling on Reid Highway in Perth’s north-east.

Emergency services were called to the intersection to Reid Highway, near Drumpellier Drive in Bennett Springs, about 8.40pm on Saturday after a truck carrying a load of rubbish struck a power pole and overturned.

Firefighters from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services had to free the driver from the wreckage.
