Hancock Iron Ore release limited edition WA Day bucket hat, get yours by reading The West Australian newspaper
This WA Day, West Aussies can step into celebrations in style, thanks to an exclusive, limited-edition WA Day bucket hat for readers of The West Australian and The Sunday Times.
This weekend a token to redeem a free Hancock Iron Ore x WA Day bucket hat will be inside every edition of The West Australian and The Sunday Times.
One token redeems one hat from any participating AMPOL fuel station. A full list of participating AMPOL outlets can be found here.
The limited-edition hats are only available while stocks last.
Festival-goers are encouraged to wear the bucket hats to the WA Day Festival at Burswood Park on November 22 and November 23 as a badge of WA pride.
Victoria Park’s Lachie and Edie Murphy are already sporting their free merch, less than 10 days out from the annual event.
“Everyone should get a free hat because it protects you from the sun,” young Lachie said.
His sister Edie is excited to head to Burswood park next Saturday for the free rides.
“I’m excited for all the rides and the big maze. I’m going to do the maze with dad, so I don’t get lost,” she said.
The festival’s Hancock Iron Ore Innovation & Education Alley promises hands-on fun for all ages.
From science experiments and sustainability displays to gold rush history and helicopter rescues, there will be something for every curious mind.
Kids can try on high-vis vests, get their faces painted, score temporary tattoos, relax with story time and activity books, or snap a selfie with mascot Rocky.
Families can also explore exhibits from the WA Museum, Scitech, Synergy, Gold Corporation — The Perth Mint, Alcoa, Waters Corporation, RAC WA and more — all celebrating WA’s innovation and creativity.
Festival organisers say the bucket hat giveaway is a fun way for readers to engage with the event while showcasing community spirit and WA pride.
