A Perth driver has been injured in a peak hour crash on a busy highway.

The crash unfolded in the northbound lane of Tonkin Highway in Embleton, in Perth’s northeast, at about 6.20am on Monday.

A driver was injured in the crash, which was believed to be a rear end incident.

Officers from Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) attended and assisted in the clean up.

Traffic remained heavy through the area in conjunction with peak hour traffic, but has since eased.
