Rockingham’s Muay Thai community have rallied around one of their own following a devastating motorcycle crash at the weekend.

Meghan Goodwin was left with serious injuries after ploughing partway through the window of a home on Goongarrie Drive in Waikiki at 9.30am on Saturday morning.

Ms Goodwin was thrown from her CFMOTO motorbike through a window.

The 35-year-old was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital and faces months of recovery.

On Sunday, Dragon Muay Thai owner Jay Harper gave an update on Ms Goodwin’s condition and urged her friends to reach out.

“Megs has a fractured skull, shattered her pelvis and will have to learn how to walk again,” Mr Harper wrote on Facebook.

“Megs will have her operation on Wednesday to fix her pelvis and will be in hospital for around 6 weeks, then she will be in a wheelchair for a while, till she is able to start to learn how to walk properly again.

“Megs is so strong, and if anyone can get past this, our mighty Megs will.”

More than 70 people commented on the post, sending positive thoughts and urging on Ms Goodwin’s recovery.

Ms Goodwin runs a personal training business and frequently takes part in athletic events around the State.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services and State Emergency Service were called in following the crash on Saturday to ensure the home was structurally sound.

On the same day, a second crash occurred nearby just after 11am, when a car and motorcycle collided at the intersection of Arkwright and Dixon roads.

The motorcycle rider, a man in his 30s, suffered leg injuries and was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital by ambulance under normal road conditions.
