A family support worker from Broome is set to embark on the adventure of a lifetime after being announced as the lucky winner of The Ultimate Kimberley Getaway.

As the winner of the competition, run by Broome Advertiser and The Kimberley Echo, Janet Mazurek has scored a six-day trip and an array of other prizes, thanks to local businesses.

The Kununurra leg of the getaway includes a tour of the Bungle Bungle Range, a flight over Lake Argyle and a HeliSpirit scenic helicopter flight.

While in Broome, they board a Broome Bluewater Fishing charter, a Cygnet Bay and Giant Tides Adventure tour and a KAS Helicopters 30-minute scenic ride.

They will also get to take home a piece of the Kimberley with a gift from Kimberley Fine Diamonds and Yane Sotiroski Photography.

The 61-year-old said she never dreamt that she would win.

“I’m beside myself with excitement, I feel so lucky,” she said.

“I’ve dreamed of going to all the places we’ll be visiting but my budget just wouldn’t have ever been able to make it a reality.

“The entire trip looks spectacular. So a huge thanks to the companies and people who have made it all possible.”

Broome Advertiser sales manager Ashlie Williamson said the competition had been a big success with some 6000 people entering.
