Ryder ready to bring a high-energy show
Country performer Ray Ryder will rock his way through the Kimberley this week as part of his Bringin’ it to the Country tour with his four-piece band.
The WA singer-songwriter has just returned from the home of country music, Nashville, Tennessee, where he liaised with Keith Urban’s former manager and played a series of showcase performances.
The country rocker has a busy schedule while in the Kimberley, starting at the Mangrove Hotel in Broome at 7pm tonight.
Ryder will travel to Derby for the Moonrise Rock Festival on Saturday, with shows in Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek, Balgo, Mulan and Wyndham to follow.
He will also run a series of free music workshops at selected shows.
“I am excited to be taking my new songs on the road with my band, creating a fun, energy-filled showcase of original music for people of all ages,” he said.
Ryder is the first WA act to be selected to play at the Birdsville Big Red Bash in Queensland later this year, alongside headliners Missy Higgins, Kate Ceberano and Russell Morris.
