Shinju Matsuri Pedicab Company took the brakes off its bikes last Wednesday and relaunched its pedicab service for the dry season.

The new red design of the pedicabs puts them in touch with the Chinatown theme, with a lantern hanging above passengers and “#LoveBroome” written on the back.

The Chinatown service, based at Matsos Brewery and the Mangrove Hotel, will incorporate all hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars and events around Broome.

Owner Mick “Smicko” Boone described the service as a fun and affordable alternative to taxis that locals can use to safely go out on the town in Broome.
