Rebecca Lee Penny fined after footy clubroom meal and drink breached licensed premises barring notice

A woman barred from entering all licensed premises in WA breached the order by ordering a meal and drink at a Goldfields football club. Rebecca Lee Penny, 32, was fined $250 in Kalgoorlie Magistrates Court on Monday after pleading guilty to entering a premises contrary to a barring notice on May 15. The court was told Penny entered the clubrooms after a training session at Kambalda Football Club and ordered a meal and a drink, which breached the barring notice she had on all licensed premises in WA. The notice was put in place in February. Penny pleaded not guilty to a charge of assaulting a person working in a hospital, which was amended on Monday from a charge of assaulting a public officer. That charge will proceed to a trial allocation date in February. No details of the allegations against her were read to the court on Monday.
