Dirt-bike riders will be gunning their engines and spinning their wheels as the Broome Motocross Club kick-starts its first round of racing for the year this Sunday.

Gates open on 7am as riders participate across numerous categories, from junior 50cc to senior open and quad bikes.

BMC president Darren Barclay said Sunday was a must-see event for those with a passion for motorsport, the track was in good condition and there were still places for volunteers and competitors.

“All riders and spectators are welcome to come and enjoy fun-filled fast action at the Broome MX track over behind the Broome Speedway,” he said.

“(There will be) scrutineering from 7.15am to 8am, followed by a riders’ brief and practice laps with a 9am race start time. There is a great viewing area over the entire track with canteen facilities.

“The track is looking lush with our huge wet season, so come out and see all the action.”
