Man charged after cannabis seizure

A man from South Australia has appeared in court after detectives searched his luggage at Broome International Airport on Sunday evening and allegedly found 23kgs of cannabis.

The man, 54, was charged with one count of possess a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply and appeared in the Broome Magistrates Court on September 23.

He was remanded in custody to re-appear in court on October 7, 2019.
