Families turned out in large numbers for the Remember the Children-themed Ochre Ribbon Day family night last Thursday.

The event was held at Goolarri Media Enterprises and is part of a national awareness-raising drive to reduce family violence in Aboriginal communities and diminish its effects on women, children and men.

Guests enjoyed local food and local musicians such as the Wasamba Drumming group at the free event.
The event was supported by Aboriginal Family Law Services, the Department for Child Protection and Family Support, Kullarri Patrol, Helping Minds mental health services and carer support, Broome Youth and Families Hub, WA Police and Australian Red Cross.
