The leading goal kicker in the 2019 WKFL season booted a whopping 10 goals to aid his side in another dominant victory on Friday night.

The undefeated Cable Beach Greenbacks notched a 94-point win over the Saints in the round six match-up but it was gun forward Sonny Dann who stole the show.

The long-time Beach star’s tally hit double digits after securing a set shot in the fourth quarter, marking the only 10-goal game of the season for any player.

Things were looking bright for Dann when he nailed his first one less than a minute into the game, bagging another six in the first half alone.

But he wasn’t the only Greenback who stood out in the convincing victory, with Sam Fong and Matthew Kennelly also kicking a couple.

Quick midfielder Alphonse Cox was an integral part of the blowout win, putting in a solid four-quarter effort.

Rahamat Bin Bakar, Tom Cox and Jordan King were also among the side’s best, while Michael Pigram, Johann Jack and Basil Sibosado impressed for the Saints.

Bruce Greatwich, Giovanni Hunter and Isaak Dolby kicked the only three goals of the game for the losing side, who failed to convert on most opportunities in front of goal, but were tough in the midfield for the most part.

The big win for the undefeated side has kept them atop the WKFL ladder.

The only thing standing in the way of Greenbacks having a clear record at the halfway point of the season is Saturday’s match against the Bidyadanga Emus, who also head into round seven without a loss to their name.

Meanwhile, the Saints will have their work cut out for them when they travel across to Derby to face the Tigers.
