Child, 4, dead in crash

A 4-year-old child was killed today after being struck by a car in the remote Kimberley town of Derby.

Derby police are investigating an incident that happened at about 12.50pm on Loch Street in the town which is 2,380km north of Perth.

Police say more details will be released tomorrow.
