Broome woman charged after suspected stabbing

A Broome woman has been charged with attempted murder after a suspected stabbing in Cable Beach yesterday.

It will be alleged that police responded to a family violence incident at a house on Taiji Road at about 3am.

Police found a man, 67, bleeding heavily. He was taken to Broome Hospital and transferred to Perth, where he remains in critical condition.

The woman, 36, was charged with attempted unlawfully to kill and appeared in the Broome Magistrates Court today.

She was further remanded to appear in the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on August 8.
