Beaches and slipway closed after croc sighting

The Port of Broome slipway and surrounding beaches have been closed after the sighting of a three metre saltwater crocodile this morning.

Parks and Wildlife confirmed the estuarine reptile was reported at the slipway at the Port of Broome at 10am this morning.

The Shire of Broome have closed Simpsons and Demco Beaches and the Port Slipway will be closed to boat launching while Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, Parks and Wildlife Service Yawuru Rangers and staff are monitoring the area.

If you see a Crocodile in Broome please report it to the Parks and Wildlife Service Broome office on 9195 5500.
