Prestigious Rose Bay Secondary College in Sydney plunged into lockdown after teen allegedly fires airgun

A teenager has been arrested after allegedly firing an airgun at a student of a prestigious east Sydney school, forcing the campus into lockdown. The partially selective public high school, Rose Bay Secondary College in Dover Heights, was put into a lockdown on Thursday afternoon after police were called to the premises due to reports of a gun on school ground. Around 1:45pm on Thursday, NSW Police arrested a 15-year-old boy after he allegedly fired a pellet from a weapon, described as a BB gun, at another student. No injuries were reported from the incident, and the weapon was seized at the scene. Inquiries are continuing into how the airgun was brought onto school grounds, with the teenager still in custody.
