Balga Incident: Police searching for driver who fled on foot after avoiding RBT and crashing into two vehicles

Police are searching for a driver who avoided a random breath test, crashed into two vehicles in Balga then fled into bushland on Saturday. About 6pm on Beach Road in Girrawheen, officers conducting an RBT saw a white Ford Mondeo station wagon make a U-turn away from police. A short time later the vehicle was seen driving recklessly and speeding before colliding with two vehicles on Mirrabooka Avenue, near Reid Highway. The male driver abandoned the station wagon and fled into nearby bushland. A female passenger and two children were found in the vehicle, one child was transported to Perth Children’s Hospital as a precaution. No life-threatening injuries were reported among the occupants of the other vehicles.
