Police have released images of man who may be able to help them track down the person who slashed a pizza delivery driver across the face during an alleged armed robbery.
CCTV footage shows a man in a hoodie and cap grabbing door handles of cars in an otherwise empty car park.
Darebin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a 22-year-old pizza delivery driver was violently attacked while on the job on Wednesday night.
The worker arrived at an Apsley St address in Glenroy, Melbourne at midnight to make a delivery when he was approached from behind by an unknown man.
The man pulled a sharp weapon and allegedly threatened the driver before allegedly slashing him across the face, allegedly cutting him from his mouth to his ear.
The offender was last seen running from the scene with the driver’s wallet.
The injured Thomastown delivery driver managed to return to the Glenroy pizza store and raise the alarm.
A police search of the area failed to find the man involved, who is still on the run.
