Images have revealed the dramatic moment an elderly man was rescued after falling at a popular WA national park.

Specialist crews were called to Perth’s Lesmurdie Falls on Sunday night after receiving a call about 5.30pm that a man in his 70s needed rescuing.

Six career and volunteer fire and rescue crews attended, and found the man at the base of the falls.

It took DFES crews 24 minutes to get him safely up to the car park, where he was further assessed by paramedics.

Footage showed the man covered in an emergency blanket being stretchered towards an ambulance.

A St John Ambulance spokesperson said he did not need to go to hospital.
