NDNA 2026: Round five produces hard fought games and upset wins for Cuballing and Wickepin

The Narrogin and Districts Netball Association A1 competition continued to deliver plenty of excitement in round five and six, with multiple teams strengthening their chances of a finals finish.

Both rounds were played at the Narrogin Regional Leisure Centre, with close matches across the board in round five and round six ending with two confident victories.

Round five saw Cuballing claim an impressive 50–44 victory over Williams 1 in a hard-fought contest on June 5.

Williams remained strong throughout the match, but Cuballing’s sharp shooting and turnovers in the closing stages proved the difference as they secured an important six goal win.

The clash between Wagin 1 and Flames 1 was unexpectedly close, with Flames putting up a strong fight against ladder leaders Wagin.

In a thrilling encounter, Wagin held steady to win against Flames 46–44, emerging victorious in one of the closest matches of the season.

Wickepin continued their strong form, winning convincingly against Olympics Gold 60–43 on June 6.

Round six brought another entertaining weekend of netball action on Friday and Saturday, with Williams and Olympics Gold getting their stride back after round five losses.

Olympics Gold bounced back in style after their defeat round five, putting on a dominant display against Flames 1 on Friday night.

Their defensive pressure and accurate shooting saw them run away with a comprehensive 51–26 win.

Williams 1 also responded strongly following their round five loss on Saturday, displaying slick ball movement and relentless pressure across the court to defeat Wickepin 63–31.

With each round bringing unexpected twists and standout performances, the A1 competition remains as competitive as ever, and supporters can look forward to plenty more thrilling netball in the weeks ahead.
