North Midlands Football League has unveiled its 28-man squad ahead of the Nutrien Ag Solutions Country Football Championships taking place in Perth later this week.

The side coached by Geoff Cosgrove will contend for the division three title, with their campaign beginning on Friday morning at Gil Fraser Reserve in North Fremantle

With their initial squad named a few weeks back, the final squad has been reduced, with Mingenew remaining the most represented side with nine players.

Carnamah-Perinjoni follows with eight players, while ladder leaders Coorow-Latham have four players named alongside Three Springs’ five.

Reigning premiers Morawa have just one player listed in Antoine Gartlett, as well as Dongara with Joel Ashworth.

Last year, North Midlands finished last in their pool with no wins, but this year they will hope to rise up the ladder and put on a stronger performance.

On Friday they will play Central Wheatbelt first up at 1pm, followed by Mortlock at 3pm.

The action continues into Saturday, with North Midlands clashing with Hills at 10.30am before wrapping up their group stage at 12.30pm against North Pilbara.

Friday’s games are scheduled to be played at Gil Fraser Reserve, while Saturday’s will take place at Lane Group Stadium in Mandurah.

The division three grand final takes place on Sunday, July 12 at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with bouncedown at 10am.
