Lottery officials have named the outlet that sold the division one winning ticket from Thursday’s mammoth Powerball draw as they continue to search for the owner of the slip.

It can be revealed the winning slip, now worth a cool $40 million, was purchased from Thistle Kiosk at Westfield Woden, a NSW Lotteries outlet in the ACT.

The Lott spokesman Matt Hart said he looked forward to welcoming the newfound multi-millionaire to the winner’s room once they had realised their astonishing win.

“What an incredible way to finish FY26,” he said, according to news.com.au.

“Someone has become an overnight multi-millionaire but possibly doesn’t know it yet.

“Just imagine how $40m might change your life and the lives of your nearest and dearest.”

Punters have been urged to locate their ticket and check their numbers as they could be sitting on a handsome payday.

“If you discover you’re holding the division one winning entry, hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process,” Mr Hart said.

The $40m draw also dished out stacks of cash to 22 players who scooped division two prizes to the tune of $32,769.70.

Division three proved fruitful for 92 ticketholders who walked away with more than $10,870 each.

The winning numbers for draw #1571 on were 7, 29, 25, 18, 26, 23 and 17. The Powerball number was 16.
