Lotto: Two West Aussie players who hit Saturday’s $1.42m jackpot bought tickets from opposite sides of river

Two West Aussies banked life-altering Lotto wins at the weekend after purchasing tickets from opposite sides of the Swan.
It has been revealed the $1.42 million slips that matched the numbers for Saturday’s division one prize were bought from Banksia Grove News and The Lucky Charm in Rockingham.
The fortunate Sandgropers were alongside five ticketholders from Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland who also hit the whopping jackpot prize.
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the luck at the weekend brings WA’s total of division one wins for the year to 51.
“It’s been a wild weekend in Perth, but these two West Aussies have weathered the storm in the best way possible,” she said.
“We look forward to hearing from these winners and welcoming them into Lotterywest’s winner’s room soon when they come forward to claim their prize.
Since the start of 2025, WA has celebrated 36 wins thanks to Saturday Lotto, which continues to deliver the most division one wins for WA players each year.”
Division two produced 75 winners — including 11 West Aussies —who will be celebrating significant windfalls to the tune of $10,486.15.
The winning numbers for Saturday’s draw #4595 were 24, 40, 43, 21, 45 and 1. The supps were 16 and 9.
Players will be able to try their luck at Tuesday’s $30m Oz Lotto jackpot, with tickets available to buy in-store or online until 6pm.
