It was an upsetting round of netball for Pearlers Old Girls who were forced to forfeit their game with Cable Beach, ridding themselves of a chance at the top spot. An automatic 10 points was awarded to Cable Beach, leaving Pearlers in the dust. In other games this week, Flames defeated the Broome Bulls with a mighty 41 goals, against 28, a win which must be attributed to the team’s speed on court. Broome Bullets were just as good, finishing their game against Broome Towns with a final score of 50 to 46, cementing their status as a worthy contender this season. The result pushed Towns down the ladder, further away from where they were only a few rounds ago in number two spot. In division two, Broome Bulls Red lost to Broome Bullets Blacks, 18 to 34. The final margin was a bit closer over on court six where Cable Beach Red won their game against Flames by four points. Towns were almost as good, defeating the Saints Gold, 47 to 39. And Cable Beach played against Broome Bulls White and won by 10 points.
